Frequently Asked Questions

What does WL, RAC, and CNF mean?

  • CNF (Confirmed): You have a confirmed seat/berth. Your coach and berth numbers will be shown.
  • RAC (Reservation Against Cancellation): You have a confirmed seat (usually side-lower, shared). You are allowed to board the train. Your seat will likely be upgraded to a full berth if one becomes available.
  • WL (Waitlisted): Your ticket is not confirmed. You cannot board the train with a fully waitlisted e-ticket (an e-ticket that is still WL after the chart is prepared). It gets automatically cancelled, and a refund is processed.

Do I need a printed copy of my e-Ticket?

No. For e-Tickets, you can simply show the m-Ticket in the blueBus app, the e-Ticket PDF on your phone/laptop, or the confirmation SMS sent to your mobile. However, you MUST carry a valid, original photo ID (like Aadhar, Voter ID, Passport, or Driver's License) for verification by the TTE (Travelling Ticket Examiner).

How can I cancel my train ticket?

You can cancel your ticket from the "Manage Booking" section in the blueBus app or website. Cancellation charges are determined by Indian Railways and depend on when you cancel the ticket relative to the train's departure time. Please review the IRCTC cancellation policy for detailed charges.

What if I miss my train?

If you miss your train, it is considered a "No-Show," and you are not eligible for an automatic refund. For certain cases, you may be able to file a TDR (Ticket Deposit Receipt) after the train's departure, but refunds are not guaranteed. We strongly recommend arriving at the station at least 30-60 minutes early.
